Airswift is seeking for Sr Technician (Control System) to work in Qatar with a major Oil & Gas Company.

QUALIFICATIONS

Diploma/ HND or relevant disciplines certificates

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Full working and maintenance knowledge of electrical equipment in hazardous Area zones
Good knowledge in in functionality of PLCs, F&G, ESD, DCS systems and field bus technology.
Fair knowledge in computer skills, communication skills, meets operations, maintenance and project teams for trouble shooting.
Perform the effective engineering support, integrity and availability of all Systems & Control in adherence with Organization’s and relevant international standards being followed within Organization’s and appropriate Safety codes to achieve their maximum integrity, availability and efficiency in cost effective manner.
Performs work that involves conventional engineering practice but may include complex features such as resolving conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional system & control requirements and/or difficult coordination requirements.
Review of all detail engineering documents of Vendor/ Contractor and attending all technical meetings as focal point from system Management side during contract execution for In house and ED/EM projects
Reviews defect reports for all Systems & Controls equipment within the assigned areas and initiates action as appropriate. Perform and ensures the effective support for DCS, ESD, SCADA, PLC control systems, Heavy Duty Turbine Control Systems, Compressor Control Systems in adherence with Organization’s and relevant international Compressor Control Systems in adherence with OP and relevant international standards being followed within Organization’s and appropriate Safety codes to achieve their maximum integrity and efficiency in cost effective manner.
Involves in project pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, loop checks, functional checks, safety checks, Site acceptance tests, performance tests and verify data sheets for new projects as instructed by supervisor so as to ensure that field instrumentation system is functioning as per approved drawings and procedures.
Working experience in DCS, ESD, Fire & Gas, SCADA systems, Field instrumentation, Cabling, Junction Boxes, Local control panels, Field HMIs, transmitters, Detectors, Vibration probes, thermowells, Fibre optic cables, Communication converters, Metering systems, Field panels, Control valves, Marshalling panels, system Cabinets, PLC cabinets, CPU IOs, Modbus, Operator consoles, PAGA system, RTU, RF, Microwave radios, switches, Servers, NTP Servers, GSM Modems etc.
Perform corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance on all assigned field instruments in timely, safely and cost effective manner with the aim of enhancing equipment performance ensuring reliability and availability of equipment.
Involves in diagnosis and calibration of mal-functioning systems, apparatus, components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of break-down and rectify the problem.
Adhere to OP Safety Policy, participate in regular safety meetings, and assist with safety audits and plant tours during the first year of the new asset.

EXPERIENCE:

7 year similar experience
SAP working experience in any module will be an added advantage
Good understanding of Quality Management Systems, such as ISO 9001
