Perth to Pilbara Region Employment Type: Contractor Contract length: Initially 12 Months - Subjected to extensions Role Responsibilities The role has a back-to-back Health & Safety Manager and works on a 15-days on, 13-days off roster. This may include responsibilities but not limited to: <ul> <li style="margin:0cm 0cm 0cm 2cm">Compliance & Documentation <ul style="list-style-type:circle"> <li style="margin:0cm 0cm 0cm 2cm">Ensure compliance with WA Safety Legislation.</li> <li style="margin:0cm 0cm 0cm 2cm">Develop and implement health & safety documentation.</li> </ul> </li> </ul>   <ul> <li style="margin:0cm 0cm 0cm 2cm">Contractor Management <ul style="list-style-type:circle"> <li style="margin:0cm 0cm 0cm 2cm">Manage contractor alignment and mobilisation.</li> <li style="margin:0cm 0cm 0cm 2cm">Inspect and audit contractor compliance.</li> <li style="margin:0cm 0cm 0cm 2cm">Verify contractors' adherence to safety systems.</li> </ul> </li> </ul>   <ul> <li style="margin:0cm 0cm 0cm 2cm">Leadership & Training <ul style="list-style-type:circle"> <li style="margin:0cm 0cm 0cm 2cm">Lead the project team to achieve health and safety goals.</li> <li style="margin:0cm 0cm 0cm 2cm">Champion ICARE, SMM, and safety initiatives.</li> <li style="margin:0cm 0cm 0cm 2cm">Develop and implement training programs.</li> <li style="margin:0cm 0cm 0cm 2cm">Provide visible leadership and resources for HSMP, CEMP, ICARE, and CRM initiatives.</li> </ul> </li> </ul>   <ul> <li style="margin:0cm 0cm 0cm 2cm">Safety Systems & Audits <ul style="list-style-type:circle"> <li style="margin:0cm 0cm 0cm 2cm">Maintain a robust hazard identification system.</li> <li style="margin:0cm 0cm 0cm 2cm">Ensure a safe system of work with regular audits.</li> <li style="margin:0cm 0cm 0cm 2cm">Lead safety interactions, inspections, and audits.</li> </ul> </li> </ul>   <ul> <li style="margin:0cm 0cm 0cm 2cm">Emergency & Risk Management <ul style="list-style-type:circle"> <li style="margin:0cm 0cm 0cm 2cm">Manage Site EMO and Security services.</li> <li style="margin:0cm 0cm 0cm 2cm">Oversee injury management and incident reporting.</li> <li style="margin:0cm 0cm 0cm 2cm">Facilitate monthly risk reviews and coordinate HS forums.</li> </ul> </li> </ul>   <ul> <li style="margin:0cm 0cm 0cm 2cm">Communication & Culture <ul style="list-style-type:circle"> <li style="margin:0cm 0cm 0cm 2cm">Promote positive site culture and health & safety expectations.</li> <li style="margin:0cm 0cm 0cm 2cm">Facilitate the dissemination of health, safety, and environment information.</li> <li style="margin:0cm 0cm 0cm 2cm">Coordinate HSE Committee and Leadership meetings.</li> </ul> </li> </ul>   <ul> <li style="margin:0cm 0cm 0cm 2cm">Incident Management & Reporting <ul style="list-style-type:circle"> <li style="margin:0cm 0cm 0cm 2cm">Oversee reporting and investigation of incidents.</li> <li style="margin:0cm 0cm 0cm 2cm">Ensure incidents are documented in Enablon and WAS.</li> <li style="margin:0cm 0cm 0cm 2cm">Prepare reports for Weekly and Monthly Reports.</li> </ul> </li> </ul>   <ul> <li style="margin:0cm 0cm 0cm 2cm">Continuous Improvement <ul style="list-style-type:circle"> <li style="margin:0cm 0cm 0cm 2cm">Advise on health and safety improvements.</li> <li style="margin:0cm 0cm 0cm 2cm">Develop action plans for performance indicators.</li> <li style="margin:0cm 0cm 0cm 2cm">Ensure correction of HS deficiencies and dispute resolution.</li> </ul> </li> </ul>   <ul> <li style="margin:0cm 0cm 0cm 2cm">Support & Coordination <ul style="list-style-type:circle"> <li style="margin:0cm 0cm 0cm 2cm">Assist EPCM and Contractors to achieve Project KPIs.</li> <li style="margin:0cm 0cm 8pt 2cm">Lead development and implementation of Construction Risk Assessment Workshops (CRAWs).</li> </ul> </li> </ul> Required Skills and Qualifications Qualifications & Training: <ul> <li style="margin:0cm 0cm 8pt 2cm">A recognized HS qualification is required.</li> </ul> Job Specific: <ul> <li style="margin:0cm 0cm 0cm 2cm">Over 10 years of experience as an HS Manager (preferably in a FIFO/ on-site setting) in the construction industry.</li> <li style="margin:0cm 0cm 0cm 2cm">Proven experience on iron ore sites and relevant safety systems.</li> <li style="margin:0cm 0cm 0cm 2cm">Extensive technical and leadership experience in HS, including strategic planning and industry leadership in HS performance.</li> <li style="margin:0cm 0cm 8pt 2cm">Strong knowledge of HS legislation and standards.</li> </ul> Interpersonal: <ul> <li style="margin:0cm 0cm 0cm 2cm">Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li> <li style="margin:0cm 0cm 0cm 2cm">Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence contractor behavior.</li> <li style="margin:0cm 0cm 8pt 2cm">Proven ability to build strong relationships, manage teams, and apply general management practices.</li> </ul> About Airswift Airswift is an international workforce solutions provider within the energy, process and infrastructure industries.
